With Rabbi, Dr. Reuven Ben
Avraham-Goossens, PhD.
Today we are going to have a look at our one and only, sacred texts which being the whole and entire Word from YHVH Elohim, blessed be His Sanctified Name. Everything else such as the ‘Zohar’, ‘Talmud’, ‘Oral law’ and the occultic ‘Kabbalah’ are in truth manmade works and none of these came from Elohim. They are all ideas of various rabbis over time and not one word came from our beloved Creator! But sadly human beings, yes rabbis have interfered so much with our blessed faith! They were at large men trying to out do Elohim, blessed be He! We really should know that there is absolute proof parts of our Tanakh has been severly tampered with.
Our blessed Hebrew Scriptures are the most Holy of all writings, and of course our scriptures are called the תַּנָ״ךְ – Tanakh and the “TaNaKh”, which is an acronym for תּוֹרָה - “Torah”, נְבִיאִים - “Nevi’im”, and כְּתוּבִים - “Ketuvim”. These three sections comprise the whole of the “Torah” part of the “Tanakh”.
Let us first look at the Five Books of the “Torah”:
The first section of the Tanakh, is the blessed Torah, which we know are the teachings of the very first book of the five books of our Holy writings, it is also known as the “Pentateuch”. The “Torah” contains: בְּרֵאשִׁית - Bereshit - Genesis, שְׁמוֹת - Shemot - Exodus, וַיִּקְרָא - Vayikra - Leviticus, בְּמִדְבַּר - Be’midbar - Numbers and then דְּבָרִים - Devarim - Deuteronomy.
In these books, we
the people of Yisrael, have read the details of
creation and the beginnings of our history under the patriarchs, Avraham -
Abraham, Yitzchak - Isaac, and Ya’akov - Jacob. We read regarding our early
history as slaves in Mitzrayim - Egypt and our miraculous rescue by אֱלֹהִים-
יָהוָה- (the LORD God), blessed be His Sanctified
Name. We received the Mitzvoth - Law from Elohim, as given to Moshe - Moses on *Mt. Horeb, (whilst in the ‘Sinai’, which means
the Wilderness). In due course our forefathers came to the land promised to us
by Elohim. The Torah is without a doubt the most sacred literature and is
treated with the highest respect. As we know, the “Sefer Torah” is a “Torah”
that has been meticulously copied by hand on a parchment scroll and it is kept
in the Ark at the Synagogue’s. It is read from during our Sabbath services as
well as during our פֶּסְטִיבָלִים יְהוּדִיִּים
- Jewish festivals.
*Please Note: The original
far more ancient writings clearly stated that it was on חֹרֵב הַר - which was pronounced
“Har Chorev”, but today it is
generally called in English as “Mount Horeb”, but somehow once again the rabbis
changed the name much later to, סִינַי הַר - “Har Sinai”. However we
need to realise that ‘Sinai’ simply means “wilderness” and it never had
anything to do with a mountain at all. Again these so-called experts continued
to tamper with the sacred Word of אֱלֹהִים - Elohim (God), which was punishable by well ... I am
sure you can guess.
Let us now look at the rest of the “Tanakh”:
The second
section of the “Tanakh” is; “Nevi’im”, which means Prophets, and
includes historical and prophetic words to Elohim (God’s) people from the entry
into the Promised Land under Yahushua - Joshua’s leadership, through the early
judges, and then from the triumphant kingdom of Dovid - David to the decaying
kingdoms of Yisrael - Israel and Yehudah - Judah, and
the words of our prophets.
It is comprised of 21 books, such as:
Joshua, Judges, 1 and 2 Samuel, 1 and 2 Kings, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi.
The third section is “Ketuvim”, which means Writings, and these 13 books, Psalms, Proverbs, Job, Song of Songs, Ruth, Lamentations, Ecclesiastes, Esther, Daniel, Ezra, Nehemiah, 1 and 2 Chronicles—contain the riches of Jewish poetry, wisdom literature, philosophy, history, and prophecy. With the sole exception of Daniel, many Hebrew’s consider these books of lesser inspiration than the first two sections, however, they all contain great treasures!
Aside from our beloved books of the Tanakh, sadly many ‘Jews’ also recognize the ‘Mishnah’, a collection of commentaries on the law and rabbinic teachings assembled around A.D. 200. In the two or three centuries that followed, rabbis and scholars pored over this collection and compiled a large body of further commentary called the ‘Gemara’. Together, the ‘Mishnah’ and the ‘Gemara’ make up, believe it or not, the ‘Talmud’, and Rabbis (certainly not Elohim) claim that these texts also ranks as holy scriptures, but they are only words from men and NOT from אֱלֹהִים יָהוָה, blessed be His Sanctified Name! It is not equal with the Tanakh. The Talmud and the Midrash (interpretations and commentary by various spiritual insights and guidance for Jews across history and across the world. The truth is that they have a great deal to do with the mystic Zohar, as well as the occultic Kabbalah.
Tehillim – Psalm 53 for instance, which
originally had the Sacred Name of יָהוָה,
minus the vowels of course, so seven times. However, yes you may have guessed
it, men, changed the Psalm by removing the blessed Name, and placed instead of יָהוָה
you will now find it says אֱלֹהִים
- “Elohim”. So much for the
command for not changing or altering His Sacred Word, well obviously for the
rabbis it did not mean a thing to them, for they seemed to be filled with
ideology and their own pride!
There is one
further item which we all seem to forget. Why are we called Jews? The word
comes of course from ‘Judah’, but I am very sorry to let you all know rabbis,
that we actually are a part of twelve tribes. Well after the destruction of the
Mishkan, rabbis renamed us Hebrews, or Israelites with a new title, and
suddenly we were renamed as “Rabbinic Jews”, obviously that name was not very
popular, as these rabbis were basically taking over our faith. Next they
changed it to “Judaism” or “Jews”. Indeed I am a rabbi, but we should be known
as Hebrews!
We have precious Scriptures in our Tanakh, but did you know that rabbinic leaders have in fact altered our standing and turned us all into being Judeans. Thus, now we know who was responsible for the lie of the lost tribes of Israel theology within certain Christian churches, and they rather like that idea!
Please, remain faithful to our Sacred Scriptures, the Tanakh, and be a worthy Hebrew, or an Israelite if you so wish.

In
Conclusion, a Question to Deepen the Conversation:
Which part of this
study of our blessed Tanakh has touched you the most? And how do you
feel, are you doing as a well being a faithful “Israelite” or a “Hebrew” are
you upholding our Mitzvoth’s? I am well aware that the modern world sadly contains
far too many problems as well as enticements including piercing and tattoo’s, which usually tends see lives sadly off track with our blessed faith.
Thus, the various struggles that may be taking place in your life in today, can
so often have sad and cruel effects upon your life? But, we do have one great
hope, Elohim said clearly ... “Return unto Me, and I will return unto you,
saith צְבָאוֹת-יָהוָה (the LORD of
hosts)”. Mal’a’chi - Malachi 3:7b. (JPG).
