site on שַׁבָּת - Shabbat or on
the מוֹעֲדִים - Mo’a’dim - Feasts!
Please Note: On this page I will show the blessed four letter “Memorial Name” of the Almighty in Ivrit - Hebrew,יְהוָה - YHVH, blessed be His Sanctified Name, which we usually pronounce
as “Adonai” (LORD) or “HaSHEM” (The NAME). At all times
please treat the most blessed Name with Sanctity and when we see the
Name, יְהוָהwe should say, בָּרוּךְ
שֵׁם
קָדוֹשׁוֹ – ‘Baruch Shem Kadosho’ – ‘Blessed be His Holy Name!’
The Sacred Name should ONLY be
used during our daily תְּפִלָּה - Te’fee’lah (Prayers) and regular בְּרָכָה - Be’ra’chah (blessings) & during Torah
studies, but NEVER during a general
conversation!

Remember the following three truth’s from our beloved Scriptures!
“Ye shall NOT ADD TO THE WORD

diminish from it, that ye may keep the commandments of יְהוָה
אֱלֹהֵיכֶם (the LORD your Elo’lei’chem) which I command you”. Davarim - Deuteronomy 4:2.
“This is My Name FOREVER, and this is My Memorial to ALL Generations”. Shemot - Exodus 3:15. (JPS).

Chapter 3: Verses 5 to 7.
With Rabbi, Dr. Reuven Ben
Avraham-Goossens, PhD.
“Be strong and courageous. Be careful to obey the entire
Torah My servant Moshe has given you; do not
turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever
you go. Do not let this Book of the Torah depart from your mouth;
meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything
written in it. Then you will be prosperous and
successful.”
This study is actually all about the individual, and how we should serve and approach our beloved Heavenly Father. This study is thus somewhat different than others, yet I am sure that you will benefit from it!
Proverbs Chapter 3: Verses 5 to 7. (JPS-1917).
The reading of each verse commences in Hebrew, followed by a transliteration, and finally in the relevant translation.
בְּטַח
אֶל-יְהוָה,
בְּכָל-לִבֶּךָ;
וְאֶל-בִּינָתְךָ,
אַל-תִּשָּׁעֵן
5 ... Be’tach el’Adonai b’khol libe’cha; ve’el bi’nat’cha al tisha’en.
“Trust in יְהוָה - the LORD with all thy heart, and lean not upon thine own understanding.
בְּכָל-דְּרָכֶיךָ דָעֵהוּ; וְהוּא, יְיַשֵּׁר אֹרְחֹתֶיךָ
6 ... B’chol dera’che’cha da’ei’hu; ve’hu ye’ya’sher or’cho’techa.
In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct thy paths.
אַל-תְּהִי
חָכָם
בְּעֵינֶיךָ;
יְרָא אֶת-יְהוָה,
וְסוּר מֵרָע
7 ... Al-te’hi cha’cham b’ei’necha; yera et-Adonai ve’sur me’ra.
Be not wise in thine own eyes; fear יְהוָה- the LORD, and depart from evil;

Having read these fine verses, let us now get to what we have been told?
What we have read above said very clearly; Trust in יְהוָה - the LORD with all your heart; do not rely solely on your own understanding and wisdom. In every path of life acknowledge אֱלֹהִים - God, and אֱלֹהִים will straighten and direct your ways. Do not be wise only in your own estimation; cultivate reverence for אֱלֹהִים and turn away from evil.
These three verses form a compact spiritual program: wholehearted reliance, habitual acknowledgement, and humble moral vigilance, each supporting the other so that wisdom becomes lived obedience rather than proud self-confidence.

Reflections on the Passage:
These three verses form a tightly woven triad of ‘covenantal trust’, ‘moral humility’, and ‘Divine guidance’.
Verse 5 calls for wholehearted trust in יְהוָה - the LORD rejecting the sufficiency of human intellect alone. The verb בְּטַח (trust) implies a deep reliance, almost a resting or leaning into אֱלֹהִים - God’s will.
Verse 6 shifts from internal trust to external conduct: in every path דְּרָכֶיךָ or ‘Your ways’, one must know or acknowledge אֱלֹהִים. The verb דָּעֵהוּ - ‘know Him’ suggests intimate, experiential awareness not mere intellectual assent.
Verse 7 warns against self-sufficiency. “Be not wise in your own eyes” echoes the sin of Eden trusting one’s own judgment over Divine instruction. Instead, it calls for ‘yirat Hashem or reverence and awe of יְהוָה and וְסוּר מֵרָע ‘turning from evil’, a classic ethical pairing.
Together, these verses offer a spiritual ethic of ‘humility’, ‘attentiveness’, and ‘reverent obedience’’, a fitting foundation for us all!

or of possible three times a day and always seek אֱלֹהִים - Elohim’s guidance! But as you may have discovered it has
become a teaching site!
Remember what אֱלֹהִים - Elohim, blessed be He, said the following, via a
number of our prophets...
“Return unto Me,
and I will return unto you, saith צְבָאוֹת- יְהוָה- the LORD of hosts”. Mal’a’chi - Malachi 3:7. MEC).
And Remember ...
Enjoy your Sabbath Rest, Shabbat
