Remember the following three truth’s from our beloved Scriptures!

Ye shall NOT ADD TO THE WORD which I command you, neither shall ye diminish from it, that ye may keep the commandments of יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם (the LORD your Eloheichem) which I command you”. Davarim - Deuteronomy 4:2. (JPS-1917).

This is My Name FOREVER, and this is My Memorial to ALL Generations”. Shemot - Exodus 3:15. (JPS).

I am יְהוָה, that is My Name; and My glory will I not give to another”. Yeshayahu - Isaiah 42:8. (JPS).

Those who keep the Commandments keeps their Soul!

With Rabbi, Dr. Reuven Ben Avraham-Goossens, PhD.

Just before this study, I would like to commence with one more important quote from Yahushua - Joshua Ch 1:7-8. (JPS).

Be strong and courageous. Be careful to obey the entire Torah My servant Moshe has given you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Do not let this Book of the Torah depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”

Elohim’s law is a tremendous blessing and we should understand that living within or as close as possible to our beloved Torah Mitzvot is a key to well-being and a life of happiness.

שׁוֹמֵר מִצְוָה, שׁוֹמֵר נַפְשׁוֹ

Shomer mitzvah, shomer nafsho.

He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his soul.

Mishle Shlomo - Proverbs of Solomon 19:16 (JPS-1917 version).

אֱלֹהִים - Elohim’s way of life is the way of ‘joy’, ‘love’, ‘peace’ and ‘happiness’! The spiritual truth we possess can make us wiser than the most intelligent people in this world, richer than the wealthiest, happier than the most materially prosperous.

אֱלֹהִים - Elohim’s law provides a standard for all human conduct. His spiritual law regulates relationships between אֱלֹהִים, man and his fellow man. He also put into effect physical laws that regulate the smooth functioning of all things physical, including our human bodies. Just as keeping אֱלֹהִים - Elohim’s spiritual law will result in spiritual, mental and emotional well-being; living in accord with אֱלֹהִים Elohim’s physical laws will produce zest-filled, abundantly good physical health. An exact parallel can be made between spiritual and physical law.

The world today is wracked with lawlessness, both spiritual and physical. And אֱלֹהִים - Elohim’s people are beset by temptation and test on every side which, too often, we succumb to, wittingly and unwittingly. Failing to reap the blessings and benefits of keeping אֱלֹהִים - Elohim’s law demonstrates the measure to which that law is being broken.

Let us read Shemot - Exodus 15:26 (JPS-1917).

Sha’moaʿ tish’maʿ le’qol YHVH Elo’hei’cha, veha’ya’shar beei’nav taaseh, vehaazanta lemi’tzvo’tav, ve’sha’marta kol’cu’qav kol ha’maalah asher sam ti ve’Mitzrayim, lo’a’sim alei’cha, ki ani YHWH rof’echa.

“If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ - the LORD thy Eloheicha, and wilt do that which is right in His eyes, and wilt give ear to His Commandments, and keep all His Statutes, I will put none of the diseases upon thee, which I have put upon the Egyptians; for I am יְהוָה that healeth thee”. Shemot - Exodus 15:26 (JPS-1917).

The last five words of this verse are translated from the Ivrit - Hebrew as, אֲנִי יְהוָה רֹפְאֶךָ, transliteration = “Ani YaHVaH Ha’rofe” meaning “I am the LORD your healer.”

But notice the phrase “I will put none of these diseases upon thee.” This scripture is more than a promise to heal! It is אֱלֹהִים - Elohim’s promise to protect His faithful people from disease, from getting sick in the first place!

This same promise is made eight chapters later:

“And ye shall serve יְהוָה your אֱלֹהִים, and He will bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.” - Exodus 23:25 (JPS).

But, we do know that because of the huge degeneracy of the world all around us, with so much evil in almost every single corner of the earth as well as in the very places we live there are countless murders and such evil which is growing day by day and they are getting younger and younger. Then there are the world-wide epidemics and other deceases that seem to spread like wildfire, and some of us have sadly been subject to some of these effects of what is happening world-wide, yes there is, air pollution, tainted water, and now we know so much food has become more and more nutrient-depleted.

But have we allowed those facts to lull us into a lackadaisical attitude toward אֱלֹהִים - Elohim’s beloved Torah and His promises regarding loving us and our well-being? No He never will leave us, for He is with us each and every minute, sadly it is us who have left Him in so many ways!

All I can tell you is this, to receive אֱלֹהִים - Elohim’s blessing, blessed be He, He expects us to ...

“... diligently hearken … to His Commandments, and keep ALL His Statutes” (Shemot 15:26) and that is something we certainly cannot take lightly!

Thus if you feel that you may have somehow failed His blessed Laws in various ways, and feel that you might like to slowly make your way back and see what you have been missing, and the Mitzvoth you need to take care off, be it you prayer life, such as saying the various blessings, be it upon waking, or going to sleep, Men you might even consider laying Tefillin, which is such a wonderful Mitzvah! And Keeping Shabbas and lighting the Shabbas lights, etc. To assist you, that is only if you require it of course, you can locate an comprehensive simple Prayer Guide, as well as a Tefillin Instruction and Blessing Guide online on the Main Index (located below).

In Conclusion, a Question to Deepen the Conversation:

Which part of the Tanakh study, or possibly a particular line or statement within it has touched you the most? And how do you feel about spending more time studying our beloved Tanakh? I pray that you are doing well as a faithful Hebrew, and אֱלֹהִים - Elohim willing you are upholding as many of our blessed Mitzvoth’s?

I am well aware that the modern world sadly contains far too many deviations as well as problems that seem to get in the way of our Hebrew lifestyle. Yet worse than that, these days there are far too many enticements, which can so easily throw many off track, and I know that has happened far too much. Thus, if there are struggles that are taking place in your life, be it at this or at any time, I am well aware that sadly it can often have a terrible and a cruel effect upon your life?

Dear reader, please remember this, pray for peace and solitude in your life, and then work on keeping as calm as possible and learn to improve your life, for אֱלֹהִים,  בָּרוּךְ אֱלֹהִים - Bless Elohim, He is always there and ready to help and guide you!

PLEASE NOTE: If you need assistance in some way, just ask, I can email you special items to help you with whatever you may need, etc! Just email me (using the link further below) and I will send it to your email, without any follow up whatsoever, or any requests from me! My email is just down this page.

Remember what אֱלֹהִים - Elohim, blessed be He, said the following via a number of our prophets...

Return unto Me, and I will return unto you, saith צְבָאוֹת- יְהוָהthe LORD of hosts”. Mal’a’chi - Malachi 3:7. MEC).

And Remember ...

Enjoy your Sabbath Rest, Shabbat Shalom!

“I am אֱלֹהֵיכֶם יְהוָה - the LORD your Eloheichem; walk in My statutes, and keep Mine ordinances, and do them; and hallow My Sabbaths, and they shall be a sign between Me and you, that ye may know that I am אֱלֹהֵיכֶם יְהוָה – YaHVaH - the LORD your Eloheichem. Yechezkel - Ezekiel 20:19-20. (JPS).
