Remember the following three truth’s from our beloved Scriptures!

Ye shall NOT ADD TO THE WORD which I command you, neither shall ye diminish from it, that ye may keep the commandments of יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם (the LORD your Elohim) which I command you”. Davarim - Deuteronomy 4:2. (JPS-1917).

This is My Name FOREVER, and this is My Memorial to ALL Generations.” Shemot - Exodus 3:15. (JPS).

I am יְהוָהthat is My Name; and My glory will I not give to another”. Yeshayahu – Isaiah 42:8. (JPS).

Cain and Abel, or is it ...
Qayin and Havel?

With Rabbi, Dr. Reuven Ben-Avraham-Goossens, PhD.

I would like to commence with one more important quote from the Yahushua - Joshua Ch 1:7-8. (From JPS-1917).

“Be strong and courageous. Be careful to obey the entire Torah My servant Moshe has given you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Do not let this Book of the Torah depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”

Introduction:

Let me begin with Cain and Abel’s names, the truth is these names came about much later, as they originated from the Greek *“Septuagint”, being of course the ancient Greek translation of the Ivrit – Hebrew Scriptures late during the Second Temple days. It was only in that translation their names were written as “Qain” and “Abel”. These names are the Greek transliterations of the Hebrew. In Hebrew, Cain is  (Qayin) and Abel is Cain-Abel.jpg (Havel).

*The Septuagint was written between the 3rd and 1st centuries BC in Alexandria, Egypt. It was the first translation of the Torah/Tanakh into Koine Greek by Jewish scholars.

I will now provide the earliest Ivrit from the Torah. Bereshit - Genesis 4:1. (JPS).

Literal translation Verse 1:

“The man (אָדָם - Adam) had known Chavah (חַוָּה) his wife and she conceived and she bore קַיִן - “Qayin” and she said I have acquired a man with יְהוָה - (the LORD).” Bereshit - Genesis 4:1.

Regular Torah Translation:

“And the man knew Eve his wife; and she conceived and bore Cain, and said: ‘I have gotten a man with the help of the LORD.” Bereshit - Genesis 4:1. (JPS).

Literal translation Verse 2:

“And she continued giving birth to his brother to “Havel” and Havel became a herder of sheep, and Qayin” became a worker of the ground.” Bereshit- Genesis 4:2.

Regular Torah Translation:

“And again she bore his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.” Bereshit – Genesis 4:2. (JPS).

Note: This clearly proves the point that they were TWIN brother’s.

We now move to Bereshit - Genesis 4:8.

Regular Torah Translation Verse 8:

“And Cain spoke unto Abel his brother. And it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.” Bereshit – Genesis 4:8. (JPS).

I found it very strange that “Cain spoke unto Abel his brother.” But guess what, he said absolutely nothing! Is it that the rabbis once again, who tend to make changes to our Torah at their own will. Let me remind you of something, rabbis, I know you have not much of a respect of what our beloved Elohim has said, but let me remind you what He did say in Devarim – Deuteronomy 4:2 (JPS). But I am so aware how you are so tied up with your lies, living and even teaching your most holy, you sacred and beloved mystic and totally Occultic “Kabbalah” which is only good enough for the gutter! It encourages you to do all sorts of evil against, for I know all your wicked secrets, and it is against our beloved Heavenly Father, and you have even removed His blessed Name! Just read Mal’a’chi - Malachi Chapter 2 verses 1 to 3. Elohim curses you and the priests for “not respecting His Name”, and “throws dung in your faces!”

What tragically has happened that occult Kabbalist rabbi’s have made alterations to our beloved Torah, etc. But they all stand on very dangerous ground, for our beloved יְהוָה אֱלֹהִים (the LORD God) told us very clearly in Davarim – Deuteronomy chapter 4, verse 2 the following;

“Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish from it, that ye may keep the commandments of יְהוָה your Elohim which I command you.” Devarim - Deuteronomy 4:2 (JPS).

Strangely enough relating that that verse of Bereshit – Genesis 4:8, at least Sefaria.org has the following online;

“Cain said to his brother Abel … *… Ancient versions, including the Targum, reads “Come, let us go out into the field,” and when they were in the field, Cain set upon his brother Abel and killed him.” Bereshit – Genesis 4:8. (SEF).

However, you do have to press a very small * to view it. But, there is no mention of that removed quotation in the Ivrit and any of the current or recent translations. Yet it is, believe it or not, it is found in the Targum and the most ancient parchment scrolls!

My new “Qayin and Havel Study will contain far more than what is found in this smaller extra shorter study, and I should complete it very soon!

And always remember the following blessed truth as found in Yeshayahu - Isaiah chapter 40.

The grass withereth, the flower fadethbut the Word of our Elohim shall stand forever” Yeshayahu - Isaiah 40:8 (JPS version of the Tanakh).

I believe the above contains a great truth, for we should remember that we have been commanded by Elohim, blessed be He, never to change or add to His Sanctified Word, for doing so is a great sin!

In Conclusion, a Question to Deepen the Conversation:

Which part of this Tanach study or possibly a particular line or statement within it has touched you the most? And how do you feel about spending more time studying our beloved Tanakh? I pray that you are doing well as a faithful Hebrew, and אֱלֹהִים - Elohim willing you are upholding as many as possible of our blessed Mitzvoth’s?

I am well aware that the modern world sadly contains too many deviations as well as problems that seem to get in the way of our Hebrew lifestyle. Yet worse than that, these days there are far too many enticements, which can so easily throw many off track, and I know that has happened far too much. Thus, if there are struggles that are taking place in your life, be it at this or at any time, I am well aware that sadly it can often have a terrible and a cruel effect upon your life?

Dear reader, please remember this, pray for peace and solitude in your life, and then work on keeping as calm as possible and learn to improve your life, for אֱלֹהִים,  בָּרוּךְ אֱלֹהִים - Bless Elohim, He is always there and ready to help and guide you!

This site was originally set up for those who needed to return to our blessed and wonderful faith, thus be wise and work on your faith and pray at least three times a day, and always seek אֱלֹהִים - Elohim’s guidance!

Remember what אֱלֹהִים - Elohim, blessed be He, said the following via a number of our prophets...

Return unto Me, and I will return unto you, saith צְבָאוֹת- יְהוָהthe LORD of hosts”. Mal’a’chi - Malachi 3:7. MEC).

And Remember ...

Enjoy your Sabbath Rest, Shabbat Shalom!

“I am אֱלֹהֵיכֶם יְהוָה (the LORD your God); walk in My statutes, and keep Mine ordinances, and do them; and hallow My Sabbaths, and they shall be a sign between Me and you, that ye may know that I am אֱלֹהֵיכֶם יְהוָה - YaHVaH Elohim”. Yechezkel - Ezekiel 20:19-20. (JPS).
