“Ye shall NOT ADD TO THE WORD which I command you, neither shall ye diminish from it, that ye may keep the commandments of יְהוָה
אֱלֹהֵיכֶם (the LORD your Elo’lei’chem) which I
command you”. Davarim - Deuteronomy 4:2.
“This is My Name FOREVER, and this is My Memorial to ALL Generations”. Shemot - Exodus 3:15. (JPS).
“I am יְהוָה, that is My Name; and My glory will I not give to another”. Yeshayahu - Isaiah 42:8. (JPS).

Yeshayahu - Isaiah 2:4:

וְכִתְּתוּ
חַרְבוֹתָם
לְאֵתִים
וְחָנִיתוֹתֵיהֶם
לְמַזְמֵרוֹת
לֹא
יִשָּׂאוּ
גוֹי
אַל־עַל־גוֹי
אֶל־עוֹד
Transliteration:
V’shafat bein hagoyim v’hokhiach l’amim rabbim; v’chitt’ru charvotam l’itim v’chanitoteihem l’mazmerot; lo yissa’u goy al’goy el’od.
Translation:
“He shall judge between the nations, and shall rebuke many peoples; and they shall beat their swords into ploughshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more”.
I know that I am old fashioned and somehow I do not wish to keep up with these rather sad times. The question we may ask ourselves, are these times better than it was, let’s say, ten, twenty, or more years ago? The answer is a simple NO. The world has gone from being a relatively safe place, as far as our everyday lives are concerned, to one which has become full of greed, immorality, and let us be honest full of sheer evil. Indeed there has always been some evil, just think back to the many wars throughout history, but today, the evil that was committed by grown men are now being performed by children as young as thirteen to sixteen year old kids as well as other inhumane individuals.
The truth is, that all values have
flown out of the window, and why is that? Sadly mostly due to a massive change
in the way family lifestyles have changed so completely. Sadly this is the way
how children are being brought up these days, certainly not as they used to be,
without much genuine motherly teaching, or the motherly love these little ones
should receive!
Tragically, it has a great deal to do
with it, due to woman’s liberation in days long gone, and governments who were
forced to tow their line. I recall family values of my younger years were based
on families having to work together. The father went to work, and the mother
lovingly taught her children the values of life, as she would be at home to
provide them with care and love, and they would be able to go to school without
teachers having to get security cards, with parents knowing that they
were in safe hands.
With women’s liberation, came wild
rebellion which started in the home and it eventually spread its ugly head in
every facet of life. Wives were suddenly encouraged to go to work, and send
their babes and young children to day-care. Many of today’s children have grown
up with strangers, thus losing that parental bond that only a mother and father
can provide. Wives slowly took the very work which men once occupied, which of
course meant that in the long run it resulted in unemployment problems of men
in the world. Next Governments were forced to make employers to provide
pregnant women with additional paid leave in order for them to have their
babies, etc, all at the cost of the general public. Had they stayed at home
caring for their loved ones and having their husbands providing for the family,
children’s behaviour would be superior to what it is
today; thank you not, for ruining babes lives. You may
say how can you say that, just listen to your children, with their disgusting
filthy language, which has become the norm, mind you some of the parents are
not that much better. To be honest in many cases, parents have become just as bad, unless you are with a bit of luck are a person of
faith! In many cases both parents and their children tend to curse and use foul
language, thus thanks to you parents, you are incapable of correcting you kids,
and nothing can be done as you have turned your children into the monsters they
have become! Social workers have already given up and governments just pander
to them, with; “Just don’t you reprimand a child or the parent, for you will
the one that will end up being punished.” Thus just let them go and do whatever
they wish! No wonder the murder rate is so high, and the robberies, carjacking,
and so much more is climbing sky-high, terrorist attacks are currently in the
news, and so it goes on!
The above is based on what is
happening these days, and I am sure my thoughts will be attacked by all those
so-called good parents, who themselves tend to be the very cause of all that is
wrong in the world. Many children roam the streets late at night destroying
property and terrorizing the elderly, even 12 and 13 year olds having murdered
83+ old ladies. When you see them taken to court they sneer and give filthy
hand signs. And what does the justice system do, send them home with a warning,
for they are too young to be taken into custody. Sadly, due to the demoralizing
of the family unit, many young parents (many are not even
married, calling themselves “partners”)
have grown up in this environment and are abusive, smoke pot, or take drugs in
the presence of their babies, drink themselves into the gutter and use language
that would horrify many. Thus, their kids follow in their footsteps, and the
terror continues.
Greed and values tend to go hand in
hand. Thank you capitalism, and no I am certainly not a communist, far from it,
but greed and the desire to possess everything the world has to offer has
become a major factor. Every home has more than one televisions, but worse
still, kids have the computer games, which mostly are based on devilish
figures who murder and try to have the children murder even more that the game
character’s do. Every house must possess the latest of everything. Mobile
phones are traded in regularly as they have become a fashion accessory.
Children once played games in the yard, now they sit behind their screens and
play games. Mobile phones are also driving people out of their minds. Even in
shopping centres, so many are walking around with their heads buried in their
mobiles; yet they are still walking and have no idea who or what they may be
walking into, including the disabled who sits on a scooter, or a blind lady. But
who cares, they and their mobiles are far more important than anyone!
And that is the world of today,
unloving, unkind, unfriendly, and frankly so many do not care about anyone!
There is a horrid place awaiting you all, it is called eternal death, with no
hope whatsoever!
What saddens this rabbi, is what I
have stated above, is also happening within the Jewish society, as children
have been given permission for being simply horrid, for their parents are close
to being useless. Most Jews do not even go to the Synagogue on the Sabbath!
What is the solution?
Unless you repent and change your
lives for the good and live a life accepting the יְהוָה
אֱלֹהִים – the LORD Elohim, who is the Almighty Creator of Heaven and Earth and all that is
therein. He created everything in six days and He rested on the Seventh Day,
and it is the Day of Rest, the Sabbath. He did set the perimeters of how we
should live, and sadly, humans being sinners decided His ways is just not our
way, and we will do it the way we want to do it! Well, that is how sin entered
the Garden of Eden as well, and that was sad, thus Adam and Eve were evicted,
and life was not the same thereafter and man became evil and thus the first
murder was committed in all history.
Just remember that the Almighty sees
everything and you cannot hide anything, for He sees everything you do, or what you are
thinking of you might do, be assured He will punish you for errors and sins.
Thus repent now and make it right and commence a new life of faith and
commence to live in peace and happiness, for it is available!

Question to Deepen the Conversation:
Which part of this study, or possibly a particular line or statement
within it has touched you the most? And how do you feel about
spending more time studying our beloved Tanakh? I pray that you are doing well
as a faithful Hebrew, and אֱלֹהִים - Elohim willing you are upholding as many of our
blessed Mitzvoth’s?
