Re Tanakh versions:
Throughout this site I may use any of three versions of the Tanakh: 1. “Jewish
Publication Society” (JPS-1917), 2. “Mechon-Mamre.org” (MEC), and 3. “Sefaria.org” (SEF), three brilliant versions, However, the
JPS-1917 is my preferred version!
Colour coded
details of our beloved TaNaKh:
1. Torah = History & Law, 2. Nevi’im = The Prophets. 3. *Ketuvim = all other Writings.
*The Ketuvim - Includes, Poetical
books - Psalms, Proverbs, Job, the Megillot, or Scrolls - Song of Solomon, Ruth,
Lamentations of Jeremiah, Ecclesiastes, and Esther, prophecy of
Daniel, and history of Ezra, Nehemiah, and Chronicles I & II.
Please Note: Some
alterations or (additions) have been made relating to ‘Names’ and ‘Attributes’
of אֱלֹהִים – Elohim (God), having been corrected
like it once was pre the “Masoretic Text”.

Remember the following truth from our
beloved Torah!
“Ye shall NOT ADD TO THE WORD which
I command you, NEITHER SHALL YE DIMINISH FROM
IT, that ye may keep the commandments of אֱלֹהֵיכֶם יְהוָה - the LORD your Eloleichem,
which I command you”. Davarim - Deuteronomy 4:2. (JPS-1917).
However, what have both priests and rabbis of the
past done, they purposely made grave and ridiculous changes! Thus, they would
have already been severely punished!

With Rabbi,
Dr. Reuven Ben Avraham-Goossens, PhD.
The ‘Ten Commandments (Mitzvoth)’ continue to
speak daily to our lives, as well as to millions of people. Of course, the Ten
Commandments appear twice in our beloved Torah; in Exodus
20:1-17 and again in Deuteronomy 5:6-21.
When אֱלֹהִים - Elohim revealed Himself to us, He did not give us a systematic ‘theology’, ‘creeds’, ‘recipes’, or ‘diagrams’. He gave us a legal code consisting of covenant ‘terms’ and ‘obligations’. He gave us laws, and each law brings a fresh revelation of who He is!
He did not give the laws of the Torah just to tidy up human society. Each commandment communicates a piece of Divine revelation, a piece of Holiness. More than just rules for governing human behaviour, the laws of the Torah reflect the אֱלֹהִים יְהוָה - the LORD Elohim.
Our Heavenly Father told us that “out of the
overflow of the heart the mouth speaks.” When אֱלֹהִים - Elohim broke the silence and spoke to His
creation at
The Ten Commandments are moral absolutes. They were spoken aloud by God, and everyone heard them. They require no further justification. They are non-negotiable.
The Ten Commandments are well known. Even non-believers and people from other faiths are more-or-less familiar with the concept of the ‘Ten Commandments’. Throughout the world, political and social battles continue to be waged about whether or not it is appropriate to display the ‘Ten Commandments’ on public property. The popular culture sadly abounds with jokes about breaking the ‘Ten Commandments’, yet most people reflexively accept their moral authority.
In Hebrew, they are called the “Aseret HaDebarim”, which literally means the “ten words” but it could more loosely be translated as “the ten matters”.
The ‘Ten Commandments’ were spoken aloud by אֱלֹהִים - Elohim (Exodus 20), written in stone by His
own finger (Exodus 31:18), and chiselled into a second set of stone tablets by
Moses (Exodus 34:28). Moses repeats the ten words to the assembly of
The “ten matters” summarize the 613 commandments of the Torah, but they cannot be separated from the Torah or from each other. The Tanakh makes no distinction between the commands of the Decalogue and the imperatives and prohibitions that follow in the rest of the Torah. The same אֱלֹהִים - Elohim spoke both. He bound them upon His Hebrew people with equal measure.
A person should not imagine that the ‘Ten Commandments’ in the Decalogue are the only Commandments; of course there are another 603 Mitzvoth. And these are in truth the only Commandments which אֱלֹהִים יְהוָה - the LORD Elohim has given, for all others are 100% rabbinic who made the rest up, and these fake laws have greatly hampered our beloved faith, so much of it came from the evil, mystical and occultic Kabbalah. Rabbis made up their own ideologies! Check your Siddur’s, for much of it is sadly Kabbalah based, thus from the occult!
