Re Tanakh versions:

Throughout this site I may use any of three versions of the Tanakh: 1. “Jewish Publication Society” (JPS-1917), 2. “Mechon-Mamre.org” (MEC), and 3. “Sefaria.org” (SEF), three brilliant versions, However, the JPS-1917 is my preferred version!

Colour coded details of our beloved TaNaKh:

1. Torah = History & Law, 2. Nevi’im = The Prophets. 3. *Ketuvim = all other Writings.

*The Ketuvim - Includes, Poetical books - Psalms, Proverbs, Job, the Megillot, or Scrolls - Song of Solomon, Ruth, Lamentations of Jeremiah, Ecclesiastes, and Esther, prophecy of Daniel, and history of Ezra, Nehemiah, and Chronicles I & II.

Please Note: Some alterations or (additions) have been made relating to ‘Names’ and ‘Attributes’ of אֱלֹהִים - Elohim (God), having been corrected like it once was pre the “Masoretic Text”.

Remember the following truth from our beloved Torah!

“Ye shall NOT ADD TO THE WORD which I command you, NEITHER SHALL YE DIMINISH FROM IT, that ye may keep the commandments of אֱלֹהֵיכֶם יְהוָה - the LORD your Eloleichem, which I command you”. Davarim - Deuteronomy 4:2. (JPS-1917).

“The Priestly Blessing”

With Rabbi, Dr. Reuven Ben Avraham-Goossens, PhD.

On the day that the Mishkan was fully erected, the chieftains were instructed to bring identical tribal offerings to the Mishkan.

Numbers 7:10.

“And the princes brought the dedication-offering of the altar in the day that it was anointed; even the princes brought their offering before the altar”.

It is striking that אֱלֹהִים - Elohim’s instruction to bless the people.

אֱלֹהִים - Elohim preceded these offerings, as if to make clear that the priestly blessing was completely unconditional. אֱלֹהִים - Elohim loved us.

Let us look at the priestly blessing in Numbers 6:23-27, as it is still powerful for all of us:

“And יְהוָה - the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying: ‘Speak unto Aaron and unto his sons, saying: On this wise ye shall bless the children of Israel; ye shall say unto them: יְהוָה - the LORD bless thee, and keep thee; יְהוָה - the LORD make His face to shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee; יְהוָה - the LORD lift up His countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. So shall they put My Name upon the children of Israel, and I will bless them’”.

No gifts were necessary, yet they were brought. Why? Perhaps because knowing we were loved drew us to return that love. We were blessed as a people; and, as a people, we would return that blessing with our own offerings, tribe by tribe. The gifts would benefit everyone. Without them, there would have been no sacrificial rites. These last two actions in Naso were reciprocal: a gift of blessing for the people, a gift of offering for אֱלֹהִים - Elohim.

Thus, the Israelites were now organized into a “sacred community” a k’hilah k’doshah protecting one another, protecting the Mishkan, offering gifts to אֱלֹהִים - Elohim, shielded by אֱלֹהִים - Elohim’s blessing.

Many have been interested in the simple meaning of the text: What was this all about? Why these three verses? He explained as follows. The first verse, “ יְהוָה - the LORD bless thee, and keep thee” offered material protection; אֱלֹהִים - Elohim would watch over us and protect us from harm. The second, “ יְהוָה - the LORD make His face to shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee”, promised enlightenment and spiritual fulfilment. The third, “יְהוָה - the LORD lift up His countenance upon thee, and give thee peace”, meant that אֱלֹהִים - Elohim’s anger toward the people would be suppressed. With אֱלֹהִים - Elohim’s anger averted, the people could be granted a life in physical and spiritual balance that would make us whole, bringing us into peace.

Blessing acknowledges holiness, thus we are holy. With this blessing being communal is important. We had already been given instructions for personal ‘protection’, ‘enlightenment’, and ‘peace’. Following the mitzvot of the Torah would elevate each person. Bringing offerings to the Mishkan would check greed and promote the spirit. Because of these individual pathways, the community would be worthy of blessing. The community would become a k’hilah k’doshah. It would encourage personal growth for the sake of the whole, teaching the individual that the sum is greater than the parts. It would guide each person toward the most important nourishment of all: a better world for all.

It is known that the priest - any priest - can offer this blessing to the community. Yet this meant uttering אֱלֹהִים - Elohim’s secret Name publicly so all would hear it. Later tradition (made entirely by men) held that only the high priest was permitted to pronounce the Name on Yom Kippur, behind the sacred curtain protecting the ‘Ark of the Covenant’. Why the change? Humans cannot help going against יְהוָה - the LORD’s will!

Can a community be holy if its leaders are not? A power-driven priest reflected absolute irreverence. How might this have been evident? A priest who is not loved by the people ought not to take part in blessing the people. On one occasion, when a priest went up and spread forth his hands, before he completed the blessing, he turned into a heap of bones. This happened to him because there was no love between him and the people. Then another priest went up and pronounced the blessing and so the day passed without harm. A priest who loves not the people or whom they love not may not pronounce the blessing.

To be responsible for אֱלֹהִים - Elohim’s Name, we need to understand the implications of צְבָאוֹת-יְהוָה -  ‘guarding it’, ‘using it’, and ‘living by it’. Like the priest who loved his people, he understood that blessing is derived from his own deeds and character, and from his appreciation of the goodness in the lives of his people.

To bless one is to bless all. To be blessed is to find ourselves in relationship with one another, linked. “Thus they shall link My Name with the people of Israel, and I will bless them”.

It needs to be understood, that since the Sinai wilderness experience all Hebrew prayed and used the most beloved and Sacred name. That is until certain priests and rabbis claimed that we suddenly could no longer utter the beloved Name. But what did אֱלֹהִים - Elohim say and do?

Let us read Malachi Chapter 2, verses 1 to 3.

“And now, this commandment is for you, O ye priests. If ye will not hearken, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto My Name, saith צְבָאוֹת-יְהוָה - the LORD of Tzva’ot (Hosts) then will I send the curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings; yea, I curse them, because ye do not lay it to heart. Behold, I will rebuke the seed for your hurt, and will spread dung upon your faces, even the dung of your sacrifices; and ye shall be taken away unto it”.

But to this day they have gone against אֱלֹהִים - Elohim’s will, and thus we are forced to pray with words such as “Blessed are You HaShem” – and what does HaShem mean? It translates as “the Name”. Thus we have been forced by occultist Kabbalistic rabbis to pray and say, “Blessed are you the Name”. How dare you, Elohim has asked us to always use His precious Name!

If you do not believe me, well here is proof, and it comes from our blessed Tanakh.

Countless rabbis of the past, and sadly many who are present are cursed by אֱלֹהִים - Elohim! It is time that we faithful Hebrews, return unto יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ - the LORD our Eloheinu, and get rid of those rabbis, especially Chabad who have taken over world of Hebrews and their beloved Shuls, for they are fully into the evil Kabbalah and other erroneous man made, so called Holy Works, and we must get back rabbis who will listen to אֱלֹהִים - Elohim, blessed be He!

Have we forgotten so fast that when the Chabad rebbe died, they printed a card with rabbi Schneerson’s photo and the words “This is the God Mashiach”, yet this evil sect has have taken over our synagogues world wide! Read … https://www.hebraicstudies.net/Chassidism.htm as it has the image of the card in question, and much more!
