Remember the following two truth’s from our beloved Scriptures!

Ye shall NOT ADD TO THE WORD which I command you, NEITHER SHALL YE DIMINISH FROM IT, that ye may keep the commandments of יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם - the LORD your Eloleichem, which I command you”. Davarim - Deuteronomy 4:2. (JPS-1917).

 “Parashat Shoftim

Davarim - Deuteronomy 16:18 to 21:9..

Reveals Erroneous and Evil Practices!

(August 30, 2025 - Ellul 6, 5785).

With Rabbi, Dr. Reuven Ben Avraham-Goossens, PhD.

In ‘Parashat Shoftim’ based on Davarim - Deuteronomy chapter 18 vv 9 to 14, sadly reveals practices such as ‘divination’, ‘sorcery’, ‘witchcraft’, and ‘necromancy’ and it calls them ‘abominations’.

Let us first read about these horrid practices in Deuteronomy 18:9-14: (JPS-1917 version of the Torah.

9. When thou art come into the land which יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ - the LORD thy Eloheycha (God) giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.

10. There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to ‘pass through the fire’, one that usethdivination’, a ‘soothsayer’, or an ‘enchanter’, or a ‘sorcerer’,

11. or a ‘charmer, or one that ‘consulteth a ghost or a familiar spirit’, or a ‘necromancer’.

12. For whosoever doeth these things is an abomination unto יְהוָה - the LORD; and because of these abominations יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ - the LORD thy Eloheycha is driving them out from before thee.

13. Thou shalt be whole-hearted with יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ - the LORD thy Eloheycha.

14. For these nations, that thou art to dispossess, hearken unto soothsayers, and unto diviners; but as for thee, יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ - the LORD thy Eloheycha hath not suffered thee so to do”.

There is no doubt about it, what we have just read is so tragic, and we would wonder who would do these horrific things?

But we could ask what do these words really mean? It is very simple, no matter what they mean, they are ‘forbidden’. However, some have asked, are they still relevant today?’

The truth is, if we explore the Torah’s vision of the occult it clearly shows us that these ancient prohibitions ‘remain deeply relevant’ in the modern world, for we should not have that evil. However, the mystical and occultic Zohar based Kabbalah, etc is filled with it! The Kabbalah clearly retains those ‘forbidden practices’ when followers go into evil trance they enter into a stupor, so much so they are no longer even men, according the Kabbalists themselves.

Using the Torah’s timeless alternative: walking wholeheartedly with אֱלֹהִים יְהוָה - the LORD Elohim, free of superstition and any of the Kabbalah’s evil and false powers, yet today, rabbi’s seem to be teaching this rubbish and they are simply destroying our faith, just as Chabad has been slowly doing, for far too long!

Sadly, we Hebrews have forgotten, when the Chabad, Kabbalah loving Rabbi Schneerson died, Chabad issued several small full colour cards with a photo of their late rabbi, and directly below it on one these cards, it clearly stated; “This is the God Mashiach” I still have these two cards, which I was given whilst I was overseas at that time. Yet, now this occultic organisation has almost taken over our beloved Jewish faith worldwide. And we should ask why? Well the truth is there were simply not enough Orthodox rabbis willing to go overseas and work in various countries. And yes Chabad still pray to their dead rabbi, and ask him to approach Elohim for various requests and that is called Necromancy. It is obvious, they do not know our beloved Tanakh very well, for that is a forbidden to practice, as is ‘Ushpizin’ at Sukkoth.

It is time that we Hebrews wake up and go back to our 100% completed Torah based law, and forget everything that ancient rabbis has added, being ideas from their own minds! The Oral Law is completly fake, for just think of it, if it was true, why is there not a hint in the Torah that there was an ‘Oral Law’. Besides that, over thousands of years how can human kind actually retain all that information? We should know well, even being far more advanced these days; we have trouble remembering certain things over a relatively short time!

Return unto Me, and I will return unto you, saith צְבָאוֹת- יְהוָה- the LORD of hosts”. Mal’a’chi - Malachi 3:7. (JPS).

“I am אֱלֹהֵיכֶם יְהוָה - the LORD your Eloheichem; walk in My statutes, and keep Mine ordinances, and do them; and hallow My Sabbaths, and they shall be a sign between Me and you, that ye may know that I am אֱלֹהֵיכֶם יְהוָה - the LORD your Eloheichem”. Yechezkel - Ezekiel 20:19-20. (JPS).
