“Ye shall NOT ADD TO THE WORD which
I command you, NEITHER SHALL YE DIMINISH FROM
IT, that ye may keep the commandments of אֱלֹהֵיכֶם יְהוָה - the LORD your Eloleichem,
which I command you”. Davarim - Deuteronomy 4:2. (JPS-1917).

Our beloved Sabbath was instituted by אֱלֹהִים - Elohim at creation. This is a day sanctified by אֱלֹהִים יְהוָה - the LORD Elohim for rest. The Sabbath has been seen by some as being legalistic, however, this day of rest which was given to us, is certainly not legalism. This is a day of freedom from the worries and work of the week and a day to focus on יְהוָה - the LORD and resting our minds and our bodies from the past week.
All throughout the Tanakh, the Sabbath is clearly spoken so frequently, from its institution at Creation all the way to the millennium.
We see in the Torah how we are supposed to celebrate the Sabbath and the blessings that are connected to it. We see us going to the Synagogue and hearing the sacred Word every Shabbat. And we by following the commandments of אֱלֹהִים - Elohim are consistently showing אֱלֹהִים - Elohim that we love Him with all our hearts and soul, and we value His blessed Word.
Below I have placed just some of the blessed
Scriptures which teaches us about the Sabbath, the verses are both in Ivrit
(Hebrew) and English:

Genesis 1: 5. Why the Sabbath start at night.
וַיִּקְרָא אֱלֹהִים לָאוֹר יוֹם, וְלַחֹשֶׁךְ קָרָא לָיְלָה; וַיְהִי-עֶרֶב וַיְהִי-בֹקֶר, יוֹם אֶחָד
5. “And אֱלֹהִים - Elohim called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day”.

Genesis 2: 2-3. אֱלֹהִים - Elohim rested on the sixth day after creating the world.
וַיְכֻלּוּ הַשָּׁמַיִם וְהָאָרֶץ, וְכָל-צְבָאָם

Exodus 20: 10. Keeping the Sabbath is the fourth commandment.
כִּי שֵׁשֶׁת-יָמִים עָשָׂה יְהוָה אֶת-הַשָּׁמַיִם וְאֶת-הָאָרֶץ, אֶת-הַיָּם וְאֶת-כָּל-אֲשֶׁר-בָּם, וַיָּנַח, בַּיּוֹם הַשְּׁבִיעִי; עַל-כֵּן, בֵּרַךְ יְהוָה אֶת-יוֹם הַשַּׁבָּת-וַיְקַדְּשֵׁהוּ

Leviticus 23: 3. Sabbath is the first appointed time of יְהוָה - the LORD.
שֵׁשֶׁת יָמִים, תֵּעָשֶׂה מְלָאכָה, וּבַיּוֹם הַשְּׁבִיעִי שַׁבַּת שַׁבָּתוֹן מִקְרָא-קֹדֶשׁ, כָּל-מְלָאכָה לֹא תַעֲשׂוּ: שַׁבָּת הִוא לַיהוָה, בְּכֹל מוֹשְׁבֹתֵיכֶם
3. “Six days shall work be done; but on the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation; ye shall do no manner of work; it is a Sabbath unto יְהוָה - the LORD in all your dwellings”.

2. “Ye shall keep My Sabbaths, and reverence My Sanctuary: I am יְהוָה - the LORD”.

Deuteronomy 5: 11-13. Command to keep the Sabbath.

וְיוֹם, הַשְּׁבִיעִי--שַׁבָּת, לַיהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ: לֹא תַעֲשֶׂה כָל-מְלָאכָה אַתָּה וּבִנְךָ-וּבִתֶּךָ וְעַבְדְּךָ-וַאֲמָתֶךָ וְשׁוֹרְךָ וַחֲמֹרְךָ וְכָל-בְּהֶמְתֶּךָ, וְגֵרְךָ אֲשֶׁר בִּשְׁעָרֶיךָ-לְמַעַן יָנוּחַ עַבְדְּךָ וַאֲמָתְךָ, כָּמוֹךָ
11. “Observe the Sabbath day, to keep it holy, as יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ - the LORD thy Eloheicha commanded thee. 12. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work; 13. but the seventh day is a Sabbath unto יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ - the LORD thy Eloheicha, in it thou shalt not do any manner of work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy man-servant, nor thy maid-servant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy man-servant and thy maid-servant may rest as well as thou”.

Ezekiel 20: 19-20. Sabbath is a sign between יְהוָה - the LORD and us.
אֲנִי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם, בְּחֻקּוֹתַי לֵכוּ; וְאֶת-מִשְׁפָּטַי שִׁמְרוּ, וַעֲשׂוּ אוֹתָם
וְאֶת-שַׁבְּתוֹתַי, קַדֵּשׁוּ; וְהָיוּ לְאוֹת, בֵּינִי וּבֵינֵיכֶם-לָדַעַת, כִּי אֲנִי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם
19. I am יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם - the LORD your Eloheichem; walk in My statutes, and keep Mine ordinances, and do them; 20. and hallow My Sabbaths, and they shall be a sign between Me and you, that ye may know that I am יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם - the LORD your Eloheichem.

In Conclusion:
Sadly, sometimes the tyranny of life can
cause us to disconnect from the purpose we were created for. And that is the
quickest way to live in misery. The Sabbath is a day to recognize that אֱלֹהִים - Elohim did not create
us to accomplish tasks, but to be in love with Him. That is our purpose. We
were not created just a work. We were not created for our ability to produce.
However, we were created, ‘first and foremost, to love and worship אֱלֹהִים - Elohim!
On the Sabbath, we should feel so blessed to able to love and praise יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ - the LORD our Eloheinu and His beloved gifts. It is one day ‘to be’, rather than ‘to do’.
This is our Sabbath truth: Stop thinking like slaves, and start thinking like sons and daughters. Take some time to recognize and reflect on the blessing He has given us, and that אֱלֹהִים - Elohim is the point, אֱלֹהִים - Elohim is our provider, and אֱלֹהִים יְהוָה - the LORD Elohim alone is our blessed Saviour!

who desired to return to our blessed and wonderful faith. Thus be wise and work
on your faith and pray at least two or three times a day (if possible) and
always seek our beloved אֱלֹהִים - Elohim’s guidance,
for His love is always with us, especially when we seek Him, blessed be He!
However this site has become very much a teaching site with hundreds of
studies!
Remember what אֱלֹהִים - Elohim, blessed be
He, said the following through a number of our prophets...
“Hebraic Studies” motto is as follows;
“The More Torah, the More Life”,
For Elohim is the One who
gave us our ... “Life!”

of צְבָאוֹת- יְהוָה= the LORD of hosts, be with
you, and please always uphold our blessed שַׁבָּת - Shabbat, as well as
the מוֹעֲדִים - Mo’a’dim - Feasts, and continue saying your
daily תְּפִלָּה - Tefeelah’s - Prayers and
regular בְּרָכָה - Be’ra’chah’s - blessings before food
and drinks, etc!
