Throughout this site I may use any
of three versions of the Tanakh: 1. “Jewish
Publication Society” (JPS-1917), 2. “Mechon-Mamre.org” (MEC), and 3. “Sefaria.org” (SEF), three brilliant versions, However, the
JPS-1917 is my preferred version!

Please Note: Some alterations
or (additions) have been made relating to ‘Names’ and ‘Attributes’ of אֱלֹהִים - Elohim (God), having been corrected
like it once was pre the “Masoretic Text”.

Remember the following truth from our beloved Torah!
“Ye shall NOT ADD TO THE WORD which
I command you, NEITHER SHALL YE DIMINISH FROM
IT, that ye may keep the commandments of אֱלֹהֵיכֶם יְהוָה - the LORD your Eloleichem,
which I command you”. Davarim - Deuteronomy 4:2. (JPS-1917).

During each week, why not join us and read a Psalm each day. Below is a list of the seven Psalms, especially chosen for us to be read on a weekly basis!
During each week, let us read the following Psalms:
Sunday: Psalm 24, Monday: Psalm 48, Tuesday: Psalm 82, Wednesday: Psalm 94, Thursday: Psalm 81, Friday: Psalm 93, Shabbat/Saturday: Psalm 92.

Shabbat/Saturday: Psalm 92.
“1. A Psalm, a
Song. For the Sabbath
day. 2. It is a good thing to give thanks unto יְהוָה - the LORD, and to sing praises unto Thy
Name, O Most High; 3. To declare Thy lovingkindness in the morning, and Thy faithfulness in
the night seasons, 4. With an instrument
of ten strings, and with the psaltery; with a solemn sound upon the harp. 5. For
Thou, יְהוָה - LORD, hast made me glad through Thy
work; I will exult in the works of Thy hands. 6. How great are Thy
works, O יְהוָה - LORD! Thy thoughts are very deep. 7. A
brutish man knoweth not, neither doth a fool understand this. 8. When
the wicked spring up as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do
flourish; it is that they may be destroyed for ever. 9. But Thou,
O יְהוָה - LORD, art on high for evermore. 10. For,
lo, Thine enemies, O יְהוָה - LORD, for, lo, Thine enemies shall
perish: all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered. 11. But
my horn hast Thou exalted like the horn of the wild-ox; I am anointed with rich
oil. 12. Mine eye also hath gazed on them that lie in wait
for me, mine ears have heard my desire of
the evil-doers that rise up against me. 13. The righteous shall
flourish like the palm-tree; he shall grow like a cedar in

There is no
doubt that this Psalm is dedicated to the Sabbath being a wonderful and blessed
day of rest and prayer. This Psalm was originally sang
in times past! May it bless us all who read it!
Shabbat/Saturday: Psalm 92 (“A Psalm, a Song for the Sabbath Day”).
Verses 2-4: (Text - “It is a good thing to give
thanks unto יְהוָה - the LORD...”):
The Radak points out that Shabbat frees a person from the physical burdens of
the week. This freedom allows the soul to focus entirely on its true purpose:
declaring אֱלֹהִים - Elohim’s ‘loving-kindness in the morning’ and
His ‘faithfulness in the night seasons’. Even in the dark ‘nights of illness,
we sing of His ultimate faithfulness.
Verses 5-7: (Text - “For Thou, יְהוָה - LORD, hast made me glad through Thy work...”):
It is said, that looking at the wonder of creation fills a person with pure
joy. The Psalmist mocks the ‘brutish man’ who looks at the world and sees only
random chance. The wise person recognizes the profound depth of the Divine
plan.
Verses 8-10: (Text - “When the wicked spring up as
the grass...”):
Let me explain the metaphor of grass. Grass tends to grow incredibly fast, but
it is ‘shallow’, ‘weak’, and easily ‘uprooted’. The apparent rapid success of
evil is ‘temporary’ and ‘illusionary’. Ultimately, those who work iniquity will
be scattered and vanish.
Verses 11-12: (Text - “But my horn hast Thou exalted
like the horn of the wild-ox...”):
The ‘horn’ represents dignity, strength, and resilience. The Psalmist promises
that the righteous person will be anointed with ‘fresh oil’ a metaphor for
renewed physical vitality, health, and spiritual clarity flowing directly from אֱלֹהִים - Elohim.
Verses 13-14: (Text – “The righteous shall flourish
like the palm-tree; he shall grow like a cedar in
Unlike the wicked who are compared to frail grass, the righteous are compared
to trees. The palm tree produces sweet fruit, and the cedar grows immense, deep
roots that withstand the fiercest storms.
Verse 15: (Text - “They shall still bring forth
fruit in old age; they shall be full of sap and richness...”):
This is a profound blessing for all, for while the minds of unlearned people
can become unsettled with age, we can also gain more ‘wisdom’, ‘clarity’, and ‘spiritual
sweetness’ the older we get. Our physical body may be somewhat poor, but your
soul is still bringing forth majestic fruit as we continue to learn.
Verse 16: (Text - “To declare that יְהוָה - the LORD is upright; He is my Rock, and there is
no unrighteousness in Him”):
The Psalm closes by absolute affirmation. אֱלֹהִים - Elohim is our ‘steady’, ‘immovable rock’.
Every judgment, trial, and moment of our lives is executed with perfect, Divine
justice and hidden mercy!

on your faith and pray at least two or three times a day (if possible) and
always seek our beloved אֱלֹהִים - Elohim’s guidance,
for His love is always with us, especially when we seek Him, blessed be He!
However this site has become very much a teaching site with hundreds of
studies!
Remember what אֱלֹהִים - Elohim, blessed be He, said the following through a
number of our prophets...
“Return unto Me, and I will return unto you, saith צְבָאוֹת- יְהוָה- the LORD of
hosts” Mal’a’chi - Malachi
3:7. (JPS).

the מוֹעֲדִים - Mo’a’dim - Feasts, and continue saying your
daily תְּפִלָּה - Tefeelah’s - Prayers and
regular בְּרָכָה - Be’ra’chah’s - blessings before food
and drinks, etc!
