versions:
Throughout this site I may use any
of three versions of the Tanakh: 1. “Jewish
Publication Society” (JPS-1917), 2. “Mechon-Mamre.org” (MEC), and 3. “Sefaria.org” (SEF), three brilliant versions, However, the
JPS-1917 is my preferred version!

of Ezra, Nehemiah, and Chronicles I & II.
Please Note: Some alterations
or (additions) have been made relating to ‘Names’ and ‘Attributes’ of אֱלֹהִים - Elohim (God), having been corrected
like it once was pre the “Masoretic Text”.

Remember the following truth from our beloved Torah!
“Ye shall NOT ADD TO THE WORD which
I command you, NEITHER SHALL YE DIMINISH FROM
IT, that ye may keep the commandments of אֱלֹהֵיכֶם יְהוָה - the LORD your Eloleichem,
which I command you”. Davarim - Deuteronomy 4:2. (JPS-1917).

Psalms, especially chosen for us to be read on a weekly basis!
During each week, let us read the following Psalms:
Sunday: Psalm 24, Monday: Psalm 48, Tuesday: Psalm 82, Wednesday: Psalm 94, Thursday: Psalm 81, Friday: Psalm 93, Shabbat/Saturday: Psalm 92.

Tuesday: Psalm 82.
1. “A Psalm of Asaph. אֱלֹהִים -
Elohim standeth in the congregation of אֱלֹהִים -
Elohim; in the midst of the judges He judgeth: 2. ‘How long
will ye judge unjustly, and respect the persons of the wicked? Selah. 3. Judge the poor and fatherless; do justice to the afflicted and
destitute. 4. Rescue the poor and needy; deliver them
out of the hand of the wicked. 5. They know not, neither do they
understand; they go about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are
moved. 6. I said: Ye are אֱלֹהִים - Elohim like beings, and all of you sons of the
Most High. 7. Nevertheless ye shall die like men, and
fall like one of the princes’. 8. Arise, O אֱלֹהִים - Elohim, judge the earth; for Thou shalt
possess all the nations”.

Historically
Psalm 82 is sung by the Levites in the
Tuesday: Psalm 82. (The Song
of the Day for Tuesday).
Verse 1 (“אֱלֹהִים -
Elohim standeth in the godly
congregation...”):
We are taught that when the human court
(Beit Din) sits in judgment, the Shechinah (Divine
Presence) dwells among them. אֱלֹהִים - Elohim is not a detached observer; He is the
ultimate partner in human justice.
Verses 2-4 (“How long
will ye judge unjustly...”):
It is noted that this is אֱלֹהִים - Elohim’s direct rebuke to corrupt leaders.
The core purpose of any authority or system is to protect the ‘poor and the
fatherless’ and the ‘afflicted and destitute’. In Hebrew thought, a society is
judged entirely by how it treats its weakest members.
Verse 5 (“They know
not, neither do they understand...”):
When judges take bribes or pervert the law, the spiritual and moral foundations
of the world shake. Chaos enters the physical world when justice is abandoned!
Verses 6-7 (“I said:
Ye are godlike beings...”):
It has been explained that judges are called ‘elohim’
(godlike/powerful) because they hold the power of life and death. אֱלֹהִים - Elohim warns them: though you possess immense
power now, you are ultimately mortal. You will die like any other human, and
you will eventually answer to the True Judge.
Verse 8 (“Arise, O אֱלֹהִים -
Elohim, judge the earth...”):
The Psalm closes with a prayer. When human justice fails, we turn our eyes
upward, asking God to manifest His ultimate, righteous rule over all
nations.

who desired to return to our blessed and wonderful faith. Thus be wise and work
on your faith and pray at least two or three times a day (if possible) and
always seek our beloved אֱלֹהִים - Elohim’s guidance,
for His love is always with us, especially when we seek Him, blessed be He!
However this site has become very much a teaching site with hundreds of
studies!
Remember
what אֱלֹהִים - Elohim, blessed be He, said the
following through a number of our prophets...
“The More Torah, the More Life”,
For Elohim is the One who
gave us our ... “Life!”
May the שָׁלוֹם - Shalom = Peace
of צְבָאוֹת- יְהוָה= the LORD of hosts, be with
you, and please always uphold our blessed שַׁבָּת - Shabbat, as well as
the מוֹעֲדִים - Mo’a’dim - Feasts, and continue saying your
daily תְּפִלָּה - Tefeelah’s - Prayers and
regular בְּרָכָה - Be’ra’chah’s - blessings before food
and drinks, etc!
