Remember the following two
truth’s from our beloved Scriptures!
“Ye shall NOT ADD TO THE WORD which I command you, NEITHER SHALL YE DIMINISH FROM IT, that ye may keep the commandments of יְהוָה
אֱלֹהֵיכֶם -
the LORD your Eloleichem, which I command you”. Davarim - Deuteronomy
4:2.

Tehillim – Psalms 19:8-11. (JPS-1917 version):
8. The law of יְהוָה - the LORD is perfect, restoring the soul; the testimony of יְהוָה - the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
9. The precepts of יְהוָה - the LORD are
right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of יְהוָה - the LORD is
pure, enlightening the eyes.
10. The
fear of יְהוָה - the LORD is
clean, enduring for ever; the ordinances of יְהוָה - the LORD are
true, they are righteous altogether;
11. More
to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold; sweeter also than
honey and the honeycomb.

Tehillim - Psalm 19: vv 8 to 11 has so much to offer, in fact it reminded me of another Psalm, and that is Psalm 119. If you sort of think of it, in a way 19 is sort of like 119, but in miniature.
It commences with “The law of יְהוָה - the LORD is perfect”, and we should realise how great and wonderful it is! It then continues with; “restoring the soul”. There is no doubt that is a blessed truth, for if we keep the Mitzvot, it will without doubt keep our lives in a much better condition, and our minds stronger to cope with all that this world will throw at us!
“the
testimony of יְהוָה is sure, making the
wise simple”. This
verse emphasizes the reliability of Elohim’s loving word and its
ability to impart wisdom to all who will listen and understand it, and act upon
it! Yes even to those who may not be naturally inclined to understand it, but אֱלֹהִים - Elohim will
guide them in a set time and under a certain circumstances!
“The precepts of יְהוָה are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of יְהוָה is clean, enduring for ever”. “precepts” again speaks of commandments, and of course they are perfect, and they should be upheld, and this will be a joyful experience, thus your heart will be full of joy! Speaking of “the commandments is clean”, it is really saying it is perfect and it will be just that forever, just as ‘His Name is Forever’!
“the ordinances of יְהוָה are true”. This refers to the fact that sacred religious ceremonies or acts performed according to אֱלֹהִים - Elohim’s Torah’s Law are genuine and it will hold spiritual significance, serving as a way to remember and it will always reaffirm our relationship with אֱלֹהִים יְהוָה - the LORD Elohim, blessed be His Sanctified Name! Although it is followed by; “they are righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb”. There is no doubt that rules of Elohim, blessed be He, are true, and sublimely righteous. Therefore the Mitzvot are far more to be desired than any amount of money or precious Gems for that matter, even a great deal fine Gold; for His Word and Torah is far sweeter than even honey!”
The good news is that we Hebrews are on a wonderful journey, one that is worth living. Being an 80 year old Rabbi, I have remained (of course) strong in my faith and have never strayed from it. Thus, it is important to remain on a solid path in our faith, and do not venture into some of the things that have been added by countless rabbis of the past. The truth is this, if it is not in the Torah, or anywhere in our beloved Tanakh, it cannot be a Law, or any kind of Commandment. And that means no matter what they try to call it, and who supposed to have remembered countless laws for thousands of years and then suddenly some rabbi got it. If you believe that, well if you do you must be (as a saying goes) a Circus freak! Also, if it was true, it would have been written in our beloved Torah / Tanakh!
