Re Tanakh versions:
Throughout this site I may use any of three versions of the Tanakh: 1. “Jewish
Publication Society” (JPS-1917), 2. “Mechon-Mamre.org” (MEC), and 3. “Sefaria.org” (SEF), three brilliant versions, However, the
JPS-1917 is my preferred version!
Colour coded
details of our beloved TaNaKh:

Remember the following truth from our beloved Torah!
“Ye shall NOT ADD TO THE WORD which
I command you, NEITHER SHALL YE DIMINISH FROM
IT, that ye may keep the commandments of אֱלֹהֵיכֶם יְהוָה - the LORD your Eloleichem,
which I command you”. Davarim - Deuteronomy 4:2. (JPS-1917).

With Rabbi, Dr. Reuven Ben Avraham-Goossens, PhD.
All Hebrew’s are a member of the ‘people of the Covenant’, and we are heirs to one of the world’s most ‘ancient’, ‘enduring and awe-inspiring faiths’. We have inherited a way of life which has earned the ‘admiration of the world’ for its love of ‘family’, ‘its devotion to education, ‘its social justice’ and its ‘infinitely loyal dedication to a unique destiny’. This way of life is passed on from parents to children, since the days of Abraham and Sarah, and that can only be sustained through the Hebraic family; and knowing this, it is to choose to continue it by creating a Hebrew home and having Hebrew children.
At
“Moses commanded us a
law, an inheritance of the congregation of Jacob”. Deuteronomy Chapter 33:4. (All
verses are from JPS-1917 version).
There are two kinds of Torah: The Torah we learn from books, and the Torah we learn from life. We need to continually learn, because if something tends to happens to us, or through us that give’s us a new insight into what the Torah is teaching us in order that we may fully understand what Elohim is saying to us!
Indeed, making our Torah study more personal will have a much deeper impact on us. And thereby we will be more likely to pass it on and share it with many others, Elohim willing.
In your case, how did the Torah come to you? Was it learned from your parents, or even your grandparents, who made His Word exciting to us! This, then, will be your story from the past, and you have it and it will be your gift to the next generation. I first received it in 1953, and had my Bar Mitzvah in May 1958 and there is nothing quite like it, as it changed my life greatly. And today the beloved Torah still challenges the moral imagination of mankind. I want to share it with everyone!
‘Take it’, ‘cherish it’, and learn to ‘understand it’, and ‘love it with all your being’. ‘Carry it and it will carry you’. And I pray that you may in turn pass it on to your children and others. For you are a member of the ‘eternal people’, let their eternity live on thanks to you.
Remember, the Torah is ours, for it was gifted to us by יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ - the LORD our Eloheinu. While we all have a portion in the Torah, naturally what you will do, starting from today is to make the Torah your own, and share it with others, as much as you are able!
