Please do NOT visit this site on שַׁבָּת - Shabbat or on the מוֹעֲדִים Mo’a’dim - Feasts!

Tanakh versions:

Throughout this site I use any of the following three versions of the Tanakh: 1. Jewish Publication Society (JPS-1917), 2Mechon-Mamre.org” (MEC), and 3. “Sefaria.org” (SEF), three brilliant versions!

Colour coded details of our beloved TaNaKh:

1. Torah = History & Law, 2. Nevi’im = The Prophets. 3. *Ketuvim = all other Writings.

*The Ketuvim - Includes, Poetical books - Psalms, Proverbs, Job, the Megillot, or Scrolls - Song of Solomon, Ruth, Lamentations of Jeremiah, Ecclesiastes, and Esther, prophecy of Daniel, and history of Ezra, Nehemiah, and Chronicles I & II.

Please Note: Some alterations or (additions) have been made relating to ‘Names’ and ‘Attributes’ of אֱלֹהִים - Elohim, having been corrected like it once was pre the “Masoretic Text”.

Remember the following powerful truth from our beloved Torah!.

Ye shall NOT ADD TO THE WORD which I command youNEITHER SHALL YE DIMINISH FROM IT, that ye may keep the commandments of יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם - the LORD your Eloleichem, which I command you”. Davarim - Deuteronomy 4:2. (JPS-1917).

There is absolute proof that the priests and rabbis have done a great deal worse, just look at Psalm 53 where they removed יְהוָה - Sacred Name and changed it to אֱלֹהִים - Elohim (God), This was also done in the translations, where it clearly has ‘God’ instead the blessed Name! Rabbis were constantly “Diminishing” His Sacred Word!

 “Increase our Faith”

With Rabbi, Dr. Reuven Ben Avraham-Goossens, PhD.

Bereshit - Genesis 15-6):

“And he believed in יְהוָה - the LORD; and He counted it to him for righteousness”. (JPS-1917 version of the Torah).

The above verse is often highlighted by many because it marks a pivotal moment where Avram’s inner faith (his trust in  אֱלֹהִים- Elohim’s promise) is explicitly linked to his standing before אֱלֹהִים - Elohim, occurring even before the formal covenant of circumcision is established in Chapter 17.

The Torah tells us that אֱלֹהִים - Elohim considered the patriarch Abraham’s faith to be meritorious. But let us reflect a moment. If אֱלֹהִים - Elohim spoke to any of us, would we not have an unshakeable faith? In what way is Abraham praiseworthy for believing in אֱלֹהִים - Elohim with Whom he communicated directly?

This question is also asked about Moses. How could Moses fulfill the mitzvah of having faith in אֱלֹהִים - Elohim when he was in direct contact with Him? We do have faith that there is a moon and a sun? Of course, that which we see or understand does not require an act of faith.

Abraham and Moses transacted in faith. They, of course, knew there was a אֱלֹהִים - Elohim. They did not have to have faith in His existence. But they tried to strengthen their faith by coming to an ever greater knowledge of אֱלֹהִים - Elohim, and believing, even when they could not see anything of or about אֱלֹהִים - Elohim.

Some people take their faith in אֱלֹהִים - Elohim for granted. Of course they believe that there is a אֱלֹהִים - Elohim. But they may not have gone beyond that to try to know more and more about אֱלֹהִים - Elohim. We have great works in the Torah and the rest of the Tanakh, which is so freely available to us to increase our faith and broaden our concept and understanding of our beloved אֱלֹהִים יְהוָה - the LORD Elohim, בָּרוּךְ שֵׁם קָדוֹשׁוֹ - ‘Baruch Shem Kadosho’ - ‘Blessed be His Holy Name’!

If we fail to do to understand our  אֱלֹהִים- Elohim, we will have no answer when we are asked, “Did you seek to improve the quality of your faith? Did you transact in faith?”

hebraicstudies.net is constantly working of bringing Yidden back to our original faith as it was long before the destruction of our beloved Temple, as Rambam so stated that he was against the relatively newly created occult kabbalisticRabbic Judaism’!

Our beloved  אֱלֹהִים- Elohim constantly calls for us to ...

Return unto Me, and I will return unto you, saith צְבָאוֹת- יְהוָה- the LORD of hosts”. Mal’a’chi - Malachi 3:7. (JPS-1917).
