Please do NOT visit this site on שַׁבָּת - Shabbat or on the מוֹעֲדִים Mo’a’dim - Feasts!

Re Tanakh versions:

Throughout this site I may use any of three versions of the Tanakh: 1. “Jewish Publication Society” (JPS-1917), 2“Mechon-Mamre.org (MEC), and 3. “Sefaria.org (SEF), three brilliant versions, However, the JPS-1917 is my preferred version!

Colour coded details of our beloved TaNaKh:

1. Torah = History & Law, 2. Nevi’im = The Prophets. 3. *Ketuvim all other Writings.

*The Ketuvim - Includes, Poetical books - Psalms, Proverbs, Job, the Megillot, or Scrolls - Song of Solomon, Ruth, Lamentations of Jeremiah, Ecclesiastes, and Esther, prophecy of Daniel, and history of Ezra, Nehemiah, and Chronicles I & II.

Please Note: Some alterations or (additions) have been made relating to ‘Names’ and ‘Attributes’ of אֱלֹהִים - Elohim, having been corrected like it once was pre the “Masoretic Text”.

Remember the following truth from our beloved Torah!

Ye shall NOT ADD TO THE WORD which I command you, NEITHER SHALL YE DIMINISH FROM IT, that ye may keep the commandments of אֱלֹהֵיכֶם יְהוָה - the LORD your Eloleichem, which I command you”. Davarim - Deuteronomy 4:2. (JPS-1917).

“Dear Torah Keeper”

With Rabbi, Dr. Reuven Ben Avraham-Goossens, PhD.

Dear Torah Keeper:

Believe me; what you are doing is really beautiful, for you have chosen to be on the right road. It does take a strong person to reroute the course of their life. It is not easy to stand up against centuries of tradition of all the cultural pressures. But you are doing it! And אֱלֹהִים - Elohim wiling, you are doing it so well! You can be happy and proud of being a Hebrew, part of the oldest faith on earth!

Thus, let me say that I am very proud of you when you mark ‘Shabbas’ and the ‘Yom Tovim’ days on your calendar for the set apart times. I am proud of you when you ensure to have a restful Shabbas each and every week, even though at times, the last week did not exactly work out how you really wanted it, but you continued and praised His blessed Name!

I am proud of you for having those awkward conversations where you explain that you do not eat pork or that you can not eat leavened bread for one week each year. I am cheering you on when you have those tough discussions with others about why you do not celebrate ‘Christmas’ or ‘Easter’. And of course there are times you are upset because your Hebrew child feels different than al those other the kids at their school, etc. But you are doing a work that pleases our beloved אֱלֹהִים יְהוָה - the LORD Elohim!

When you get those looks, those judgmental comments, when you are misunderstood, when you feel scrutinized or not good enough because someone else keeps Torah differently than you, I am proud of you for putting what you do know into practice. While you might beat yourself up for stumbling along the narrow road, just keep on upholding the instructions of our loving Father has given us!

You are doing great following that which He asks of you and you work in order to honour the Sabbath. These are the kind of actions that will make our world a little bit closer to what our beloved Creator intended. I am proud of you when you share what you have taught people who new little to nothing regarding our faith. Thus know that you are shining a light that will reveal many regarding His truth.

Yes, I am so proud of you for walking on His path for keeping the Commandments even when it can be difficult at times. I am proud of you for trying your very best, for אֱלֹהִים יְהוָה - the LORD Elohim sees what you are doing and it is beautiful and precious to Him, בָּרוּךְ שֵׁם קָדוֹשׁוֹ – ‘Baruch Shem Kadosho’ – ‘Blessed be His Holy Name!’

This site was originally created, for those who desired to return to our blessed and wonderful faith. Thus be wise and work on your faith and pray at least two or three times a day (if possible) and always seek our beloved אֱלֹהִים - Elohim’s guidance, for His love is always with us, especially when we seek Him, blessed be He! However this site has become very much a teaching site with hundreds of studies!

Remember what אֱלֹהִים - Elohim, blessed be He, said the following through a number of our prophets...

Return unto Me, and I will return unto you, saith צְבָאוֹת- יְהוָה- the LORD of hosts” Mal’a’chi - Malachi 3:7. (JPS).
