Re Tanakh versions:

Throughout this site I may use any of two versions of the Tanakh: 1. “Jewish Publication Society” (JPS-1917), 2. “Mechon-Mamre.org” (MEC). These are two brilliant versions, using the JPS-1917 version very much preferred by myself!

Colour coded details of our beloved TaNaKh:

1. Torah = History & Law, 2. Nevi’im = The Prophets. 3. *Ketuvim = all other Writings.

*The Ketuvim - Includes, Poetical books - Psalms, Proverbs, Job, the Megillot, or Scrolls - Song of Solomon, Ruth, Lamentations of Jeremiah, Ecclesiastes, and Esther, prophecy of Daniel, and history of Ezra, Nehemiah, and Chronicles I & II.

Please Note: Some alterations or (additions) have been made relating to ‘Names’ and ‘Attributes’ of אֱלֹהִים - Elohim (God), having been corrected like it once was pre the “Masoretic Text”.

Remember the following truth from our beloved Torah!

“Ye shall NOT ADD TO THE WORD which I command you, NEITHER SHALL YE DIMINISH FROM IT, that ye may keep the commandments of אֱלֹהֵיכֶם יְהוָה - the LORD your Eloleichem, which I command you”. Davarim - Deuteronomy 4:2. (JPS-1917).

Sadly priest’s and rabbis during the latter days of our beloved Second Temple made extremely poor changes to our Scriptures, and they were cursed by אֱלֹהִים - Elohim (Read Malachi Chapter 2, verses 1 to 3 and 8).

“A Loving Name”

He who is the Word, our beloved אֱלֹהִים - Elohim desires you to be a “Shamar”:

Of course, אֱלֹהִים יְהוָה - the LORD Elohim makes it very clear in the Word about altering His Word for He is the Word! The Word clearly states the following;

“Do not add to the Word which I command you and do not take away from it, so as to guard (Shamar) the commands of יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם - the LORD your Eloheichem which I am commanding you”. Deuteronomy 4:2.

“Whatsoever Word I give you, guard (‘shamar’, which also means to protect) and observe it, do not add to it nor take away from it”. Deuteronomy 12:32.

“Do not add to His Words, lest He reprove you, and you be found a liar”. Proverbs 30:6.

Sadly, rabbis have done just that long ago, as they messed with certain parts of our beloved Tanakh!

I highly suggest that you read the most wonderful study: Shamar - the link can be found at the bottom of the page! I have always asked the question.

In the Scriptures, if you check, you will find that throughout the Tanach יְהוָה - the LORD’s Sanctified Name is also used in a shorter three-letter form as … “YAH” in Hebrew it is יָהּ and this occurs some 46 times in the Hebrew. If you have a copy of “the Tanakh,” you will always see the correct and proper Names of our Heavenly Father. Except, were rabbis removed it from two Tehillim - Psalms 53 and 56 as the blessed Name in Hebrew was יְהוָה, but they changed it to אֱלֹהִים which is a disgrace! In the English the LORD, became “God” and from what our beloved אֱלֹהִים יְהוָה - the LORD Elohim has sais, as per above, these rabbis are cursed!

Below is just one example out of the 46 times the precious Name of “YAH” is found in the Tanach;

Below is Exodus 15:2 in Hebrew and in English:

עָזִּי וְזִמְרָת יָהּ, וַיְהִי-לִי {ר} לִישׁוּעָה; {ס} זֶה אֵלִי וְאַנְוֵהוּ, {ס} אֱלֹהֵי {ר} אָבִי וַאֲרֹמְמֶנְהוּ

“יָהּ - the LORD is my strength and song, and He is become my salvation; this is my אֱלֹהִים - Elohim, and I will glorify Him; my father’s אֱלֹהִים - Elohim, and I will exalt Him”.

When it comes to our prophets they have their beautiful Hebrew names, as well as an English version.

The following are just a few of those with the blessed name; Yeshayahu = Isaiah / Yirmyahu = Jeremiah / Ovadyah = Obadiah. Of course these are just a couple of many, but now these can only be found in the original Hebrew and thankfully most of us are able to read Hebrew and that is why I love to show Hebrew names when possible, from Noach - Noah or Avraham - Abraham, Moshe - Moses, Ya’akov - Jacob.

A Very Special message: I must say that although there are problems in the Tanakh with its many translations and each one being somewhat different to the other, the truth can still be found within them, for the fact is as follows, אֱלֹהִים יְהוָה - the LORD Elohim is the Creator of everything we know, man sinned and suffered the consequences of their actions! Elohim instituted a plan of Salvation.

“And Moses said unto Joshua: ‘Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek; tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of אֱלֹהִים - Elohim in my hand’”. Exodus 17:9.

If we check the Hebrew Tanach, we will see that Joshua’s name is written in Hebrew as follows - יְהוֹשֻׁעַ - being of course “Ye’hoshua”.

But, other relevant laws remain in place, not as enforcement as some seem to think, but we should uphold them as an act of love, a loving act of obedience, for they are now in our hearts, for we of course uphold the “Sabbath” not just because we have to, but we really wish to! The same should apply to keeping the “Yom Tovim,” such as “Pesach” - “Passover” and “Sukkoth” - “Tabernacles,” etc, etc!

So far I have shared about words and of course changing them are great an evil, however, there is one that has proven to be even greater and that is the obvious, and the change of names have been done with great intent.

Let us be honest, I have travelled the world and visited countries around the world and my name has been the same wherever I have been, no one has ever said, “Dear Rabbi Reuven, do you mind if we change it to Robert (Bob, Ron or Ronald) for it would be better for our people to understand!” Of course that has never been said, and will never happen; it has always been my Hebrew name, Rabbi Reuven Ben Avraham.

The question begs, why did those evil priests and rabbis remove the beloved Sanctified Name of “יְהוָה - the LORD Elohim”.

“How long will this be in the heart of the prophets who prophesy lies? Indeed they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart, who try to make My people forget My Name (יְהוָה - the LORD) by their dreams which everyone tells his neighbour, as their fathers forgot My Name for Baal.” Yirmyahu - Jeremiah 23:26-27.

Tragically, the Sanctified Name of “יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ - the LORD” our Eloheinu was declared as forbidden to be used by those cursed ancient priests and rabbis and amazingly they used the Torah, “The Five Books of Moshe” completely in error and out of context to justify their misguided stand! Yet, the four original Hebrew letters יְהוָה remained in most of the Torah as well as the scrolls of the Prophets, but in due course in most printed books, such as Jewish prayer books, etc, the four letter name of יְהוָה - the LORD was changed to יי, which was pronounced by us as “Adonai” meaning “LORD” or Master. Others will use HaSHEM when the four letter name of יְהוָה still appears in the Hebrew scrolls of the Torah, when they are called up to read a portion, or part from the reading from the prophets, etc! But thus they will use the term “HaShem,” meaning “The Name” and others will use “Adonai”! Both of aforementioned terms I believe are an insult to the most Sanctified Name of אֱלֹהִים יְהוָה - the LORD Elohim, Sanctified be His blessed Name!

Personally, I believe that we should use the full blessed Name and title whenever we should use the Name of our blessed Creator, “אֱלֹהִים יְהוָה - the LORD Elohim”, blessed be His Sanctified name!

The truth if any other name but אֱלֹהִים יְהוָה - the LORD Elohim is used, it is incorrect, as is clearly stated in Deuteronomy 4:2, and chapter 12:3. Please pray about what you have read in this study in order that His Love and Blessing will touch you with His understanding and not just what I have written, for nothing matters, but that which is really vital is His blessed will, for it will also decide your life and eternal future!

My closing prayer:

Father אֱלֹהִים - Elohim, I give you praise and thanks for the opportunity to be able to share Your Word and I pray אֱלֹהִים - Elohim that it will be You Who will touch lives and give them discernment and not just from the written words of a man! For we need to know Your Word of truth! I praise You in the highest and I thank You, for I know יְהוָה - the LORD, blessed be Your Sanctified Name, that you will touch and change lives right now for the times we are living in are shocking, for there is so much evil all around us, and we Hebrews must stand apart! Thus Father, touch all those who have read this study, in your sacred Name!
