With
Rabbi, Dr. Reuven Ben Avraham-Goossens, PhD.

This is just a short, but a powerful study based entirely on Tehillim – Psalm 1, and as you check it out, I am sure it will make complete sense to you!
As we will have learned in the many other studies online, there is frequently so much more than what meets the eye, and once we have read something in the Torah or somewhere in the Tanakh, be assured it there are so many never ending Gems! And this also applies to Tehillim One!
The very reason that Tehillim 1 was placed at the very beginning of this book is for a very special purpose, for if you cannot pass this one at the beginning, well just dont bother going on, for it contains certain verses that are extremely challenging, for if you are unable pass verses 1 to 3, then don’t bother continuing, for you are obviously a completely lost case and you must first commence to re-evaluate yourself, and what you are going to do with your life. 1. live a life of evil; or 2. live as אֱלֹהִים (God), blessed be He, asks of us;
“

Tehillim- Psalm 1:1:
1. Happy is the man that hath not walked in the counsel of the wicked, nor stood in the way of sinners, nor sat in the seat of the scornful.
2. But his delight is in the law of יְהוָה (the LORD); and in His Law doth he meditate day and night.
3. And he shall be like a tree planted by streams of water, that bringeth forth its fruit in its season, and whose leaf doth not wither; and in whatsoever he doeth he shall prosper.
4. Not so the wicked; but they are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5. Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6. For יְהוָה (the LORD) regardeth the way of the righteous; but the way of the wicked shall perish.
As we have clearly seen above, this Tehillim - Psalm proves that there are two kinds of people on the earth, for ...
verses 1 to 3 tells us about one kind of person, those who are living a “good” and a “righteous” life. Whilst on the other hand verses 4 & 5 sadly describes and defines those who are living the complete opposite lifestyle and are people who tend to live and sadly are “evil” and “wicked”.
In other words there
are always those that are on two very different paths.
Therefore verse 6
sums it up and it makes it very clear that the sad truth is,
that there is just
Therefore, as you may have gathered, this Tehillim - Psalm speaks of two kinds of people, with their very different lifestyles, and they are heading in two different destinations, and even though, human nature tends to soften these matters up, and try to say oh but we will all be together one day, sorry, do you really think that those אֱלֹהִים (God), blessed be He, destroyed who had worshipped the golden calf at the foot of Mount Sinai will be resurrected and will be with those who have lived a life of observance of His Torah, and His lifestyle, etc. No they will not! That is just the sad truth and fact!
If you are on the destiny of Verses 4 & 5, you will suffer “weakness, sorrow and eternal death.”
But if you seek “STRENGTH, JOY and LIFE.” I
pray that you will want to live a life
in verses 1-3 and although life may not be perfect whilst we are on earth, but
it will be filled with the love of the Torah, and live a life doing mitzvah’s, and living
joyfully within your community, keeping Shabbat, Yom Tovim
and all that is so special within our blessed faith!
If you have any questions you are welcome to email me. And yes, I may sound somewhat radical compared to certain rabbis, but I am very strict when it comes to what is Torah, and to what are just man created laws, which has done so much damage to our beloved faith - Judaism, for sadly they added well over a thousand more laws that Elohim, blessed be He ever gave to Moshe Rabbeinu! These new laws came long after and in fact even hide the blessed Torah Laws given to us by our אֱלֹהִים (God) which He forbade!
What I have just stated is become big problem and it applies not just to Judaism, but also relates to some other faiths as well, for men within the faith who may have done things thinking it was in good faith, whilst others in complete ignorance, altered or added certain things in the writings received from our Creator, be it for whatever reason. But the truth is that our אֱלֹהִים (God), blessed be He, has clearly stated that we cannot change or alter His words or commands in any shape or form! In fact the Torah makes it VERY CLEAR!
“Ye shall not add unto the word
which I command you, neither shall ye diminish from it, that ye may keep the
commandments of
