Introduction
Ezekiel 13 is a direct strike against those who “concoct”, visions out of their own imagination. Just as I have noted how later groups added to the Torah, these ancient figures were adding “whitewash” to a crumbling structure. From an archaeological perspective, this chapter describes a structural failure: a wall (Kir) that lacks the “stones” of Truth and it is instead held together by the flimsy “mortar” of human (rabbinic) flattery.

Ezekiel Chapter 13;1-23
1. “And the Word of יְהוָה - the LORD came unto me, saying:
Explanation: The
Davar (Word) comes as a physical force to dismantle the lies.
2. ‘Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of
Explanation: “Prophesying out of their own heart” (Libbam) means they are using their own ‘Lamed’ (authority) rather than the authority of אֱלֹהִים יְהוָה - the LORD Elohim (God).
3. Thus saith אֱלֹהִים יְהוָה - the LORD Elohim: Woe unto the vile prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!
Explanation: They follow their own Ruach (wind/spirit). In Paleo, a wind without a source is just empty air that carries no weight.
4. O Israel, thy prophets have been like foxes in ruins.
Explanation: A fox in a ruin (Chorbot) does not rebuild; it only hides in the gaps. These prophets exploit the “holes” in the people's knowledge of the Torah.
5. Ye have not gone up into the breaches, neither made
up the hedge for the house of
Explanation: The “Hedge” is the Gader. In Paleo, this is the Gimel (the camel/lifting up) and the Dalet (the door). They failed to lift up the door of protection.
6. They have seen vanity and lying divination that say: יְהוָה - the LORD saith; albeit יְהוָה - the LORD hath not sent them; and they hope that the word would be confirmed.
Explanation: They use the Name (יְהוָה) as a rubber stamp for their own “concoctions”, but the ‘Vav’ (the nail) of the Name is not in their words.
7. Have ye not seen a vain vision, and have ye not spoken a lying divination, whereas ye say: יְהוָה - the LORD saith; albeit I have not spoken?
Explanation: They claim a (letter) ‘Hey’ a revelation, that never happened.
8. Therefore thus saith אֱלֹהִים יְהוָה - the LORD Elohim: Because ye have spoken vanity, and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you, saith אֱלֹהִים יְהוָה - the LORD Elohim.
Explanation: The phrase “I am against you” signifies that the ‘Yud’ (Hand) of the Creator is now pushed against them rather than for them.
9. And My hand shall be against the prophets that see vanity, and that divine lies; they shall not be in the council of My people, neither shall they be written in the register of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of Israel; and ye shall know that I am אֱלֹהִים יְהוָה - the LORD Elohim.
Explanation: To be blotted from the “Register” (Ketav) means their names are removed from the eternal Paleo-script of the House.
10. Because, even because they have seduced My people, saying: Peace; and there is no peace; and when one buildeth up a slight wall, behold, they daub it with untempered mortar;
Explanation: They cry Shalom (Destroying Chaos), but they have destroyed nothing. They have only covered the chaos with “whitewash” (Taphel).
11. say unto them that daub it with untempered mortar, that it shall fall; there shall be an overflowing shower; and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall rend it.
Explanation: The Paleo ‘Mem’ of water, which should bring life, now comes as a flood to wash away the fake mortar.
12. Lo, when the wall is fallen, shall it not be said unto you: Where is the daubing wherewith ye have daubed it?
Explanation: Archaeology proves that only the stone (the Written Word) remains after the “mortar” of human opinion washes away.
13. Therefore thus saith אֱלֹהִים יְהוָה - the LORD Elohim: I will even rend it with a stormy wind in My fury; and there shall be an overflowing shower in Mine anger, and great hailstones in fury to consume it.
Explanation: The ‘Shin’ the teeth of the storm will consume the vanity.
14. So will I break down the wall that ye have daubed with untempered mortar, and bring it down to the ground, so that the foundation thereof shall be laid bare; and it shall fall, and ye shall be consumed in the midst thereof; and ye shall know that I am יְהוָה - the LORD.
Explanation: The “Foundation” (Yesod) is the original source. אֱלֹהִים - Elohim strips away the additions to reveal what is truly underneath.
15. Thus will I spend My fury upon the wall, and upon them that have daubed it with untempered mortar; and I will say unto you: The wall is no more, neither they that daubed it;
Explanation: Both the “concoction” and the “concocter” are removed.
16. to wit, the prophets of
Explanation: A vision of Shalom without the ‘Yud’ (Hand) is a lie.
17. And thou, son of man, set thy face against the daughters of thy people, that prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy thou against them,
Explanation: The warning extends to the women who have turned the faith into a system of “occult” charms.
18. and say: Thus saith אֱלֹהִים יְהוָה - the LORD Elohim: Woe to the women that sew cushions upon all elbows, and make pads for the head of persons of every stature to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the souls of My people, and save souls alive for yourselves?
Explanation: These “cushions” and “pads” are physical objects used in superstitious rituals, the “occult” works as mentioned earlier.
19. And ye have profaned Me among My people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to My people that hearken unto lies.
Explanation: They trade the Blessed Name for mere food, treating the sacred as a common commodity.
20. Wherefore thus saith אֱלֹהִים יְהוָה - the LORD Elohim: Behold, I am against your cushions, wherewith ye hunt the souls as birds, and I will tear them from your arms; and I will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt as birds.
Explanation: The Creator’s ‘Yud’ (Hand) will physically rip away these superstitious “additions”.
21. Your pads also will I tear, and deliver My people out of your hand, and they shall be no more in your hand to be hunted; and ye shall know that I am יְהוָה - the LORD.
Explanation: He replaces their “hand” with His ‘Yud’.
22. Because with lies ye have grieved the heart of the righteous, whom I have not grieved; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life;
Explanation: False promises are “concoctions” that prevent Teshuvah (Return).
23. therefore ye shall no more see vanity, nor Divine divinations; and I will deliver My people out of your hand; and ye shall know that I am יְהוָה - the LORD’”.
Explanation: The chapter ends with the restoration of the ‘Ayin’ (the Eye). No more “vain visions” (empty eyes); only the Truth remains!

Closing Message
Ezekiel 13 is a timeless warning against those who try to
“beautify” a crumbling spiritual state with human traditions and mystical
“cushions”. Whether it was the false prophets of old, or the later rabbinic
editors who added to the Torah, thus the result is the same: a wall that cannot
stand the storm. Only the foundation stones, the original Paleo-Word
and the Blessed Name, survive when the “whitewash” of rabbis past is washed
away!
